Say “Yes” to Volunteer Day

Timothy’s Property Board could use your help on Saturday, Sept. 26, 8am-noon, for a Volunteer Outdoor Cleanup at both campuses. At RD Mize, the courtyard will be cleared of weeds and sprayed with Roundup. At Wyatt, mowing the ditch, painting playground benches and tables, and repairing potholes in parking lot will be on the “agenda.” Please click on the link below to sign up NOW! Your volunteerism is very much appreciated!

Thank You, Scouts, Once Again

Last Saturday, Scouts from Troop 813 once again volunteered their time and energy to pull weeds at RD Mize in the former playground area and landscaped area outside the front office. With frequent rains, the grass (and weeds!) grow so fast that it is challenging to keep on top of the cleanup, just like at home! Many thanks to the Scouts and to the volunteer mowers who work tirelessly to keep the grounds looking nice.

Middle Schoolers Begin Sunday Bible Study with Swim Party

This past Sunday evening was the kickoff of the weekly Middle School Bible Study for the book Wonderful: The Truth About Who I Am. Many thanks to Pastor Rod and Miss Miriam for opening their home and pool for this kickoff. Future Sunday sessions will occur in the Youth Room (506) at RD Mize from 5:45-7pm. It’s not too late to join the group, so contact Sarah Hinkle ( soon.

Call Committee Update

Timothy’s Call Committee reconvened on Sept. 1 for the first time since COVID-19 restrictions impacted the timeline for moving forward. The committee agreed to authorize Chair Steve Schild to contact Pastor Andrew Becker to ask if he was open to a second call to serve as Timothy’s Senior Pastor. The initial contact on Sept. 3 was followed by an additional conversation on Sept. 8 after Pastor Becker was provided with information about Timothy’s Next Generation progress and additional staffing since January.

After reviewing the Next Generation information, Pastor Becker praised Timothy’s efforts for moving in this direction; however, due to COVID concerns and some personal reasons, he does not feel the time is right for a call but will continue to lift us up in prayer. Therefore, Timothy’s Circuit Visitor, Pastor Gary Stolle, will contact MO District President Rev. Lee Hagan for a new list of candidates.

Please keep Timothy’s divine call process in your prayers as we continue to seek God’s guidance in finding the man He has already chosen to serve as Timothy’s next Senior Pastor.
