Drive-In Household Communion Procedures
Sunday, July 12, 1pm-3pm
~Wyatt Campus~

Communion Procedures for Households in Cars

  1. The pastors will start serving communion at 1pm and will end at 3pm. You may get in line starting at 12:45pm. Drive under the awning from the east side and stop in front of the entrance doors.
  2. We ask that you stay in your vehicle while receiving communion.
  3. The pastors will deliver communion wafers on a plate to you. One person from the vehicle will gather communion wine/grape juice from the tray for those attending. We will take back the communion cups and throw them away after you are finished.
  4. We will ask those receiving the Lord’s Supper if they attended worship either on-site or viewed online. Worship prior to receiving communion is required. The elements will be consecrated in the service.
  5. Those receiving communion will be asked four questions used in worship service to examine themselves prior to receiving the elements.
Masks and More Masks

Some of Timothy’s LWML sisters have been busy making fabric masks during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to 200+ masks for Timothy worshipers, if they need one, starting this coming Sunday at the 10am service at Wyatt, over 75 masks were made for others in need as well.

Check out the various colors and designs . . . and sizes! What a deal! They are grouped according to five different sizes (X-Small, Small, Medium, Large, X-Large).  Susan Ready reports that approximately 90 yards of elastic and over 30 yards of fabric went into these masks. Many thanks to Lois Domsch, Lois’s friend Carol, Pat Bock, Jean McCormick, Jeanine West and Susan Ready for sharing their seamstress skills to help fellow Timothy worshipers and others! Definitely a mission-minded labor of love!

Now how many of the 200 available disposable masks do you think will be picked up? Probably only by those who are not at the mask table early for the first come, first serve opportunity to get a handmade fabric one! (In all seriousness, please remember masks are currently required and that bottles of hand sanitizer will also be available for worshipers.)

Drive-By-And-Drop-Off Grocery Collection Still a Huge Need

Are you ready for Round 2 of grocery collections? Timothy’s response to these food drives has been outstanding! Hillcrest Transitional Housing will gladly accept our donations from the next “Drive-By-And-Drop-Off” opportunity on Saturday, August 1, from 10am-noon at both campuses.

The following items are especially needed at Hillcrest now, as new residents begin to move in: paper towels; toilet paper; hand soap; body wash; shampoo; box dinners (Hamburger Helper, Tuna Helper, etc); canned tuna; Spaghetti-O’s & Ravioli-O’s for kids; ketchup; mayo; and syrup.

Volunteers Dan Sbisa, Joe Sauter, Gary Flandermeyer and others look forward to loading your donations into their trucks, so mark your calendars for this next grocery drive! Definitely another mission-minded labor of love!
