Come Visit And Worship With Us

Since 1961, Timothy Lutheran Ministries has been “Transforming Lives through Christ” in Blue Springs and beyond, growing from fewer than 100 members to over 2,000. Originally a mission church of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, Timothy first worshipped in a school and storefront before building its RD Mize Road campus in 1964. As the congregation grew, expansions followed, eventually leading to the purchase of 68 acres for a new worship center and elementary school at Highway 7 and Wyatt Road. In October 2008, the Wyatt Campus opened, and in fall 2023, we consolidated our ministries to this location. We celebrated this milestone on January 7, 2024, by holding both traditional and contemporary services under one roof. Timothy is committed to being a friendly, biblically sound, and outwardly focused church, welcoming people from all walks of life. Join us as we continue to “Transform Lives through Christ” together.

Vision

Transforming Lives through Christ

Mission

To nurture and equip people to be transformed followers of Christ.

Core Values

To carry out our mission, build our ministries, and to guide us in the process of raising up disciples who follow Jesus on a life-long journey of faith empowered by the Holy Spirit, Timothy has created these four core areas: Gather, Grow, Give and Go.

At Timothy Lutheran Church and School, we believe, teach, and confess:

  • That the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God. (2 Peter 1:20-21)

  • That there is only one true God, who has revealed Himself in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 3:16-17)

  • That all people are sinful and, as a result, are separated from God (Romans 3:23, James 2:10)

  • That God the Father’s love for all the world moved Him to put the punishment for our sin upon His Son, Jesus. (John 3:16, 2 Corinthians 5:21)

  • That by His suffering and death on the cross, Jesus made full payment for our sins. (Hebrews 2:17)

  • That Jesus rose from the dead on Easter morning and later ascended into heaven. (John 20:1-29, Acts 1:1-11)

  • That God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. (Acts 3:19-21, Romans 10:9-10, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11)

  • That God’s gifts of forgiveness, eternal life, and salvation come to us, in His Church, through the Means of Grace: His Word and His Sacraments of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. (Romans 1:16, Matthew 26:28, 1 Peter 3:21)

  • That forgiveness and eternal life are offered freely by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ and not by good works. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

  • That Jesus will return on the Last Day to judge both the living and the dead. On that day, He will receive all those who believe in Him. However, those who reject the Christian faith will be eternally separated from God. (Matthew 24:44, Matthew 25:31-32, Matthew 25:41)

  • We are all sinners who fall short of the glory of God, but are justified freely by faith. (Romans 3:23)

Go as witness to tell that Jesus is Lord and Savior, But when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you will be filled with power, and you will be witnesses for me Jerusalem, in all of Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God-this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of the world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12
