Church ministry staff serves Timothy members and the Blue Springs Community where it is transforming lives through Christ.

Rev. John Otte, Senior Pastor

Personal: Pastor John and his wife, Jill, have two sons, Isaiah and Micah

College Education and post graduate studies: Concordia University in St. Paul with a BA in theatre; Concordia Seminary in St. Louis with an M.Div.

Previous positions: Pastor John has served in Blue Earth, Minnesota, and South St. Paul, Minnesota

Serving Timothy: Pastor John was installed at Timothy in February of 2016, making him the new guy. He’s looking forward to sharing God’s love with the people of Blue Springs.

Rev. Ryan Hochgrebe, Children & Youth Associate Pastor

Personal: Pastor Ryan and his wife Robin, have two daughters Carmen and Heidi

College Education and post graduate studies: University of Missouri-Columbia with a BA in Secondary math education; Concordia Seminary in St. Louis with an M.Div.

Previous positions: Pastor Ryan has served in Folsom, CA

Serving Timothy: Pastor Ryan was installed at Timothy in June of 2021. His focus will be toward children and youth ministry.  He is humbled at the opportunity to be apart of the Blue Springs community to encourage and share the powerful news of the gospel through word and action.

Rod Lindemann, Associate Pastor – Part time

Personal: Pastor Rod and his wife, Miriam, have four adult children and 14 grandchildren

College Education and post graduate studies: Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, MO with a BS in Aviation Technology; Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Specific Pastor Ministry (SMP).

Previous positions: Pastor Rod is owner and works full-time at Rods Sports, in Blue Springs, MO – Across the street from the RD Mize Campus.

Serving Timothy: Pastor Rod was installed at Timothy in February of 209 as a Vicar, and he continues in his SMP studies. He was installed as an Associate Pastor on December, 2011.

Pastor Rod is often seen walking back and forth between his store and the church taking care of business on a daily basis. We’re not sure he’s really part-time.

Nancy Nowiszewski, Care Minister – Part-time

Personal: She and husband, Tom, have daughters Liz (married to Rich Soria; daughter, Keira, son Hayden), Lauren (married to Casey Martinez; daughter, Karsen, son, Roman), and Natalie (married to Alex Knox)

College Education and post graduate studies: Northern Illinois University, DeKalb Ill – Bachelor of Science in Journalism; Concordia University, Mequon WI – Lay Ministry Certification

Previous positions: Volunteer Services Manager; Family Events Coordinator, The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art (11 years); Copy Editor, Better Homes & Gardens Books; Public Relations Director, Better Homes & Gardens Real Estate Services; freelance editor and author (including Helping Women Recover from Abortion, Bethany House, 1988).

Previous volunteer positions: Advisory Member, National Board for Lutherans for Life; officer and founding member, Iowa State Federation of Lutherans for Life; president, Des Moines and Quad Cities chapters, Lutherans for Life; member, Iowa State Commission on the Status of Women; various care and education boards, Lutheran churches in Iowa and Missouri.

Serving Timothy: Nancy coordinates the ministries of: prayer, Stephen Ministry, health, sermon CDs, card, transportation, Journey to the Manger, community care, DivorceCare, GriefShare, and Friendship Club. She is the staff liaison to the Give Commission, which oversees stewardship and care ministries. In addition, she coordinates events offered by Women of Hope, our women’s ministry team.
