You’ve Taken the First Step

You plan to attend a worship service at Timothy. The services at the R.D. Mize Campus are considered to be a blended style of traditional and contemporary, the Wyatt Campus service is contemporary.

Some people wonder how they should dress when they attend a worship service at Timothy. There is no dress code. All are welcome, regardless of what you wear.

If you have questions, our greeters can help you out. An Information Center at each campus has printed publications on specific ministries.

About Us

Timothy Lutheran Ministries has been “Touching Lives for Christ” in Blue Springs and the surrounding area since 1961, growing from less than a hundred members to more than two thousand today. Originally planted as a mission church by the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, Timothy worshipers gathered for worship in a school and later a storefront in downtown Blue Springs until moving into the current RD Mize Campus location (425 NW R.D Mize Road) in 1964. As more and more worshipers called Timothy home, expansions at the RD Mize Campus accommodated growth in all ministry areas until eventually 68 acres of land was purchased at the corner of Highway 7 & Wyatt Road for an elementary school and worship center. In October 2008, Timothy was proud to serve the Blue Springs community by dedicating its Wyatt Campus (301 E Wyatt Road) and is blessed to now provide worship and fellowship opportunities at both campuses every week.

Timothy is proud of its deep Lutheran heritage. We are a friendly, culturally relevant, biblically sound, outwardly focused church with intentional efforts to reach people from all walks of life and very different pasts. Some of us have grown up in churches; others are just beginning our journey with God and Jesus as our Savior. But as different as we are, we are united on an amazing life journey together, discovering more about God and His incredible plans for us. Spend time with us as we “Transform Lives through Christ” together.

Discovery Class

God, are You there?

Everyone, at some point, asks this question. It can come at moments of sterile, academic reflection or in times of deep despair. “God, if You are there, why don’t You show Yourself to me?” In this confusing world where authenticity is so elusive, it seems like we cannot connect to God.

In truth we can’t—but the good news is that God connects with us. Our adult instruction class tells this unique, unequaled story. Wherever you may find yourself, we will help you explore what the Bible says about this remarkably loving God, and how this love gives direction and meaning to your life today and forever.

This class is designed for those who are interested in learning or reviewing the foundations of the Christian faith. Attendance at the class may lead to membership in our church, but there are no obligations. Child-care is provided.
