JR Wiles Memorial Fishing Derby

Join us Saturday, September 21st, for the 3rd Annual JR Wiles Memorial Fishing Derby. Come out and enjoy fishing, food and fellowship with family and friends. JR had a love for fishing and sharing his faith. You can help us continue his legacy for generations to come. The event is free and open to all ages.

Anyone who spent time with JR quickly learned two things about him. He held an unyielding faith and was a fanatical fisherman. He shared and lived out his faith as a family man and employee and frequently volunteered at church.

As an angler, fish trembled when they heard his name. Most people could live a hundred lives before finding a finer angler than him. He had a God given talent for catching fish. And he wanted to teach and share that gift with others. Especially the next generation.

The mission of the fishing derby is to carry on JR’s legacy of spending family time in faith and fishing.
