As we conclude the church year during this month we set our eyes on the second coming of Jesus. On this All-Saints Day we dive into Revelation 7 and hear about the good, the bad, and the ugly of the Lord’s second coming.

FIRST READING: Revelation 7:9-17

GOSPEL READING: Matthew 5:1-12

In the midst of disaster how can we really say “Jesus is Lord of creation.” After all, everything around us seems out of control. The world even looks like it’s falling apart sometimes. Yet the Scriptures keep declaring that God has it all under control. Join us as we catch glimpses of God’s Lordship over all creation.

First Reading: Colossians 1:15-23

Gospel Reading: John 1:1-18

Have you ever been to a messed-up church? Chances are, if you’ve been attending church for some time, you have. And these messes in the church turn some people completely away from the church; others just switch churches, and others just slowly become less involved. We are reminded today that while every church indeed has its problems, yet the church is a beautiful mess and Jesus willingly Lord’s over it. We can be thankful He does so in grace and mercy.
First Reading: Ephesians 1:15-23
Gospel Reading: Matthew 16:13-20
If you’re a regular reader of the news, chances are you’ve seen chaos, fears, and fighting around the world. Countries are at odds with each other and even among the “treaties” out there, things seem very uneasy. And there’s that half joking, half serious statement about certain things that could possibly trigger World War III. Volatile leaders and power-hungry nations can put us on edge yet once again today we are reminded that our God is not frightened nor unable. As a matter of fact, our God Lord’s over the nations. Come be reminded of the rest we find in Him.
First Reading: 1 Peter 4:12-19, 5:6-11
Gospel Reading: Matthew 28:16-20
