Town Hall Meeting Tomorrow Night

It may seem so long ago that the Next Generation congregational survey opportunity collected members’ data, opinions and comments concerning Timothy’s future. After delays due to COVID concerns, sharing the results of the survey will occur tomorrow evening, July 29, at 6:30pm at the Wyatt Auditorium.

If you prefer to view the Town Hall meeting online, it will be live on Facebook and then available on YouTube on Thursday. A summary report of the data will be available at the end of the meeting; the same report will be posted on Timothy’s website on Thursday.

Emailing Contribution Statements

Timothy’s upgraded ShelbyNext software program provides the capability of emailing contributions statements. When implemented in February, one of the Board’s goals with this new software was sending emailed contributions on a quarterly basis rather than just at year-end. Then COVID hit, and the Executive Board voted to wait until Timothy was worshiping in person again.

Within the next month, the first attempt of this endeavor will occur for several purposes. It will allow a “practice run” to learn of quirks or glitches needing consideration before sending the year-end statement in January for 2020 tax purposes. It will include all contributions thus far to allow members the opportunity to determine if any record-keeping errors have occurred. In addition, it will be a tremendous savings of volunteer resources and mailing costs.

The Executive Board is aware that some members do not have email capabilities. If you know members in this category, please assure them that every effort will be made to send the updates through US Mail. In some cases, if members with no email addresses have family members serving as Durable Power of Attorney, perhaps permission could be granted to the church to email the contribution statements to that person(s).

As this process draws closer to implementation, the Executive Board will provide updates. Thank you!

Pastor Malone’s Celebration

Timothy is invited to attend a celebration for 40 years in the ministry for Pastor Malone, a dual pastor at Trinity Lutheran Church and Amazing Grace Lutheran Church. A worship service of praise and thanksgiving for this milestone will occur at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Raymore, MO, on Sunday, August 23, at 3pm. Address is 310 Johnston Parkway, Raymore, MO.

If you plan to attend, your RSVP is requested to pmalone40thanniversary@comcast.net by August 20.

If you would like to send a congrats card, please mail it to 313 Cedar Street, Pleasant Hill, MO 64080. Thank you!

Fantastic ECC Clearance Sale

The Family Life Center was almost empty at 5pm this past Saturday! You can imagine Facilities Manager Don McGhee’s exhilaration! Many thanks to everyone who volunteered their time for its success!

It was heart-warming to touch lives of shoppers who appreciated the opportunity to take home excellent child-related toys, equipment, and furniture through a free-will, love offering. The two-day sale itself netted $2,217.00, with all proceeds applied to the TLS Playground Fundraiser. Pre-sale purchases by local daycares/pre-schools netted $3,335.00, for a total of $5,552.00. A final update will be available within a few days if any remaining merchandise is sold soon.  Thank you!
