As We Gather For Worship This Weekend

Oftentimes, when we think about the stories of the treasure in the field or the pearl of great price, we think we are the ones who found the treasure or we are the merchants who want to buy the pearl. We think that the parable is all about how we sacrifice and give to gain the kingdom. But in reality, it’s the other way around: God finds His treasure in us. He finds the pearl in us. And He gives up His Son to make us His.
Join the FaithRoot’s gang this week and learn about God’s first humans, Adam and Eve. We truly are the apple of God’s eye made in His image. Praise God for the gift of life and the forgiveness we have in Jesus.

Resuming In-Person Worship at RD Mize

In-person worship at RD Mize is tentatively set to resume on Sunday, August 9th at 9am! We look forward to then offer two services for our worshipers, one at Wyatt at 10am (live-streamed) as well as the one at RD Mize. We pray that conditions with the pandemic do not interfere with this plan to expand our worship services!

Hillcrest Transitional Housing Graduation

Timothy’s Hillcrest Team celebrated the graduation for our resident Sharrone and her son Willie from the Hillcrest Transitional Housing program this past Monday. Timothy members Janel Schild, Pam Lund, Esther Maxwell, Barb Kalbfleisch, and Dan & Pam Sbisa were on hand to hear her express gratefulness to both Hillcrest and Timothy for their support. Sharrone will transition to the graduate program which allows her to take advantage of low-cost housing through Hillcrest.

Sharrone shared a video of Willie playing with the small toy figures provided by Timothy, commenting that Willie spends hours setting them up and pretending with them. They are his favorite toys!

The team also met Timothy’s new Hillcrest resident, Vonzell. As shared last week, his apartment in the building next to Timothy’s building was destroyed in a recent fire. He moved into Timothy’s apartment after the fire and expressed his thanks for Timothy’s support. Please continue to keep Vonzell in your prayers for success in the Hillcrest program. Feel free to drop off cards of encouragement at the RD Mize front desk, as he lost everything in the fire.
