October 10-16 Adult Gulf Coast Mission Trip - GulfPort, MS
Thrivent Financial is sponsoring 28 home builds in the areas devastated by hurricane Katrina. We will be working with members of other congregations from around the country and coordinating locally with Pointe of Hope Lutheran Church. The work week will be from Tuesday-Friday and will include time to sample local restaurants and visit the Katrina memorial. Cost is $370 and includes transportation as well as food and lodging while at the Volunteer center. $200 Scholarship are available for Thrivent Members. October 9th - Real World Parents Seminar - 9am-12pm in the Family Life Center
Real World Parents is a 3 hour seminar designed to give parents Biblical principles and practical tools to help navigate the complex issues we face in trying to raise Godly children. It is for Christian parents with children of any age, no matter where there family is on their spiritual journey.
Cost is $10 (workbook included).
