Nancy and husband Tom have three daughters: Liz (and husband Rich), Lauren and Natalie. Nancy has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism from Northern Illinois University and is currently working on her Lay Ministry Certification through Concordia, Mequon. Nancy joined Timothy’s ministry staff in August 2005.
The native Iowan coordinates Timothy’s extensive care ministry programs, including the Life Lines support groups, Stephen Ministry, Caring Callers, small groups, prayer, health and community and member assistance. She has a special heart for losses, especially the loss of a child. Nancy and Tom’s daughter, Caitlin, was born with a terminal genetic disorder known as Trisomy 18, and lived for 5 months. Nancy also has a deep interest in life issues and has been active for many years in Lutherans for Life. Through her work in that area, she became involved in post-abortion counseling and wrote the book Helping Women Recover from Abortion. Nancy has also worked as a hospice volunteer in the Blue Springs area.
