NEIGHBORHOOD MINISTRY
The Neighborhood Ministry is a natural
way for members of Timothy to become acquainted, meet Christian friends and
to care for their neighbors. A neighborhood consists of eight to fifteen households
that all live in the same area. A volunteer person in each neighborhood called
the "Contact Person" fosters relationships within the neighborhood
by being the ears of the neighborhood, relaying the neighborhood needs, concerns
and joys to the church through the Neighborhood Ministry Coordinator.
Become a “Contact Person” for your neighborhood
The Neighborhood Ministry continues its effort to be in touch with all of our Timothy members. Presently there are about sixty neighborhoods that have a Contact Person. God is using this ministry in some wonderful ways. This is an opportunity for every member of Timothy to receive a personal phone call. Our goal is to keep the lines of communication open between Timothy and every member. Aside from these phone calls, the Timothy newsletter is our only connection with every household.
There is a continued need for an individual to serve as a Contact Person in every neighborhood. We still need many more to have every neighborhood served. We continue to work on this by asking people to serve in those neighborhoods currently without a Contact Person. If you choose to answer this call, you would be asked to:

1. Make two contacts (by telephone) with every household per year in your neighborhood. 2. Attend a couple of contact support meetings a year for your encouragement. If you would like more information about being a Neighborhood Contact Person, or if you have an idea for “Meet your Neighbor Sunday”, call Tony Bellinghausen at 228-5300, ext. # 319 or Pastor Ted Schubkegel at 228-5300, ext. # 306.
