ABOUT US
Timothy was chartered by the The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod in 1962 with 83 chartered members. The first called Pastor was Rev. William Gerike, who served with his wife, Elaine (who still volunteers at Timothy), until his death in 1981.
Timothy ministers to the entire Blue Springs, Missouri and surrounding community and is a family of approximately 3000 members.
Our mission, "Touching Lives for Christ". is founded on the Great Commission which Jesus gave His church - to make disciples of all people. (Matthew 28:18-20) A disciple follows Jesus on a life-long journey of faith - empowered by the Holy Spirit to:
- Gather for worship and fellowship in Christ. (Hebrews 10:25)
- Grow in Christ-like living through God's Word. (Colossians 3:16)
- Go as witness to tell all that Jesus is Lord and Savior. (Acts 1:8)
- Give joyfully in Service to God and His people. (Matthew 10:8b)
